NOT QUITE!
Good try, this was a tough one! We have bats to thank for tequila! Tequila is made from agave tequilana a plant that flowers at night and its smell attracts bats to its nector. This makes agave a chiropterophilous plant, which simply means it’s pollinated by bats! Multiple bat species pollinate agaves, and several migrate, following the bloom of agave and cactus through central Mexico to the Southwestern U.S. and back.
