As scientists illuminate the effects of human impact on Earth, artists, too, are responding to these environmental challenges.

In paintings, photographs, sculptures, and public works, artists are pushing forward the conversation and evolving perspectives about life in the age of humans.

Join Joanna Marsh, the senior curator of contemporary interpretation at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, in exploring the unique role of art within the Anthropocene.

This program is part of the monthly Anthropocene: Life in the Age of Humans series hosted by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History.
