What would you do if an Ebola outbreak were unfolding in your community? How would you prevent an outbreak of avian influenza from occurring? In this highly interactive program you will negotiate with your community on the strategies and resources needed for each of these realistic scenarios. Join us for a fun and interactive evening where YOU decide how your community handles these outbreaks.

How does this work? Experts on infectious diseases will provide an overview on Ebola and influenza before game play begins. Small groups will then work cooperatively to explore strategies of outbreak response and prevention for each scenario. Players will discuss the strategies and decide how to use the resources within their simulated communities. At the end of the game, experts will weigh in on how your strategies stack up against measures taken in actual outbreaks around the world.
