The World & Me Family Program: Toakase's Tapa
|
FREE ticketed event Learn more about your place in the world through explorations of nature and culture. Every second Saturday of the month, museum educators lead a program that combines a book reading, activities, and a chance to look more closely at the museum's collections. These programs are designed for Pre-K to 3rd grade. This month, we'll explore traditional textiles of Pacific Island cultures, specifically barkcloth. Join us for an interactive family program featuring a book reading of "Toakase's Tapa" and craft activities led by a museum educator. Families will work together to create and take home their own art piece that represents traditions in their families.
