Some are bigger than entire countries. Others are as small as a street corner. But all of our national parks are American treasures, offering tourist escapes, scientific adventures, surprising talks and unforgettable characters.

Smithsonian Channel’s film, America’s National Parks at 100, tells the story of a radical idea – identifying places worth saving forever – that became an enduring mission.

Followed by a discussion with the film's producer, Dan Wolf, former director of the National Parks Service, Robert Stanton, Curator of North American Archaeology and featured expert in the film, Torben Rick, and Deputy Associate Director of Park Programs and National Heritage Areas at National Park Service, Joy Beasley.

We're sorry, the deadline for registering for this event has passed.
