The impact of the Center is felt far beyond the National Mall. Federal funding covers only 25% of what we need to explore new scholarship and found new partnerships, expand the Folklife Festival and Smithsonian Folkways offerings, and bring new cultural sustainability projects to communities near and far. The rest comes from curious, passionate people like you who want to help us answer some of the most challenging questions of our time: Where have we come from? Where are we going? And what brings us together at a time when so much pulls us apart?
